This should be no problem with the future possibility of the rebalance: just reduce the damage of said units against slingers. Other than that, I don't believe that this adds much to the gameplay, slingers are strong in their respective use case (and thats not melee).
Everyone knows that poor Middle Eastern soldiers used a turban made of fabric (thick or not), sometimes a metal hat was pushed under the fabric. The turban itself served as a helmet, in fact, protecting the soldier's head. And in some cases, this decision was justified. The cloth turban was an analogue of helmets for poor soldiers. In the game, slingers are just the same, with a turban. I propose to slightly increase the slinger's defense ONLY against chopping blows from above. That is, the protection of the slinger should grow in close melee combat against: 1) Horse archer, Knight, pikeman, European swordsman, Arab swordsman and assassin. In other cases, the protection parameters of the slinger remain unchanged. How do you like the idea?
