David's comment – tractor / remote interaction is done.

Warrick - comment - Remote grab is partially done for Vive. Currently able to remotely-grab/move the molecule but not able to attract/repel the molecule closer or further from the user easily i.e. the the tractor beam functionality is lacking.

Observation: Since introducing the remote grab I've found the simple tractor beam (push/pull) to be less useful. It is possible to do almost all desired manipulation with just the remote grab.

I suspect it would be much more useful to be able to remote grab simultaneously with both hands.
