Updating the site from Angular 5 -> Angular 7

Various updates required to update the project (and it's dependencies) from Angular 5 to Angular 7.

I've deployed all the updates to dev for now, will test for a couple of days given the scope of the changes to check if nothing's broken.

Investigating better ways of dealing with the custom-theming of material components to align with our research activity colour scheme.

Finished tidying existing theme code. Redeploying to dev to do further testing.

Completed BrowserStack tests on all major browsers. Deploying to production.
