The department requires a person to work part-time (<10 hours per week) at an hourly rate commensurate with standard teaching assistant rates to create a system for populating a database from XML files. The general goal of the project is to automate some administrative tasks.
The applicant should be competent in programming an XML file parser or have demonstrated skills using any programming language (Python, Java or similar). The applicant should have familiarity with or demonstrated skills in creating and maintaining SQL databases (MySQL or similar) and setting up query forms. Web site construction, HTML and PHP is an asset.
