Design pattern for collection of stuff on map

A common interaction is creating objects on a map, then filling out some form for them. Some pieces for this to work:

• controls to create / edit the object on the map -- sometimes just a maplibre Marker, sometimes more elaborate
• a neutral "list" mode, vs an "editing one object" mode
• visually linking the sidebar and map -- hover on an item in list mode, see it highlighted on the map. Maybe vice versa, or maybe tooltips on the map
• when an object is selected for editing, maybe disabling map edits for other objects
