@sunt05 : just saw that timezone is not released yet It is in module_sf_suews.F @zhenkunl : for now, maybe change it in module_sf_suews.F, and I open and issue to release this variable to the namelist

Good spot! wrfinput might be a more appropriate outlet.

hamidrezaomidvar commented 5 years ago

@sunt05 True, specially for the larger domain, the timezone can be changed. Do you know if WRF has any timezone variable?

sunt05 commented 5 years ago

No. I think we need to let users manually set this up. or, use your DL code to help users get this into wrfinput during pro-processing.

hamidrezaomidvar commented 5 years ago

This can be a good option too!

hamidrezaomidvar commented 5 years ago

and this

hamidrezaomidvar commented 5 years ago

@sunt05 @zhenkunl , Timezone variable is released now. I added a python script in the folder called set_timezone which automatically get wrfinputs and set the timezone's based on the lat and lon. Note that before this step, you need to run previous steps of wrfinput processors such as prameter extractor etc.

this can be marked as done.
