Adios V1 Shim #425

Couple things going on here:

  1. I completely removed the V1 Shim and all its support modules and functions
  2. I removed unused fixtures from the tests (as an added bonus)
  3. Bumped the version to 0.15.0 due to a large feature change

This should be an easy PR for you all.
