Hello!

I'd like to request permission to continue this mod under the same name and upload it to CurseForge. I'll be working on my own CraftGuide written from the ground up to see if I'll be able to do it, and I'd love to have the privilege to bring this mod back to life.

Thanks In Advance :)

You're welcome to make your own copy, even re-use any of the code/art (it is MIT license, after all, not even something virally copyleft like GPL), but I don't feel I'm done with the mod yet, having a large pile of ideas and partially-implemented features that I want to finish some day.

For the name, at the moment the best I feel comfortable offering at the moment is with a disambiguating subtitle or other modification (I don't know how picky CurseForge is about title similarity, but if it helps you could at least point them to this issue); or shared use of the existing project (and the 2.x version block) once you have a (non-alpha) release with most or all of the key features working (ex. scrollbar; GUI resizing; filtering; the newer (relatively) ability to add items to, and remove them from, the current filter; search history; some form of API).

Regardless, I'm happy to talk about old design decisions and future plans that haven't and perhaps never will make it in, especially if any insight from it would help you succeed.

Oh, okay! Glad to hear you might still be working on this mod. In that case, I'd love to try my best to help you out here via Pull Requests instead of going from the ground up. If you'd still prefer, I could try my best to still write it from the ground up however I'm a somewhat inexperienced modder so I wouldn't know all the small things I'd need to add/remove. Then I could evolve it into a pull request for a nonexistant "1.12.x" branch! However you'd like me to do it, I'd love to help out.

I'm working on it in the sense of "2 or 3 times a year, I play modded Minecraft for a few days, and during that time I add fixes or minor improvements for things that are annoying me". The mod's been mostly 1.7.10 because the pack I've usually been playing is 1.7.10, and I haven't really felt the enthusiasm to port changes forward multiple times if I don't have a world to test it in. Unfortunately as it is, there's already a split between changes for 1.7.10, and 1.9/1.10 (the latter, I just discovered, also had some uncomitted changes from two years ago)
