Here are some ideas for the display user interface:

To change the info shown in the dashboard you can press the left or right keys. Proposed dashboard screens:
summary (images shown above)
detailed battery info
max, average and current speed
Options screen
Is accessed by pressing the down key while on the Main screen. To get back to the Main screen, you have to press the up key while the top most option is highlighted.
Optionally, we could transition between the two screens with a simple translate animation.
The selected option should scroll back and forth to reveal the text.
