Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
bricked 1.0.2 with empty baseband

Please provide any additional information below.
is it possible to use seczone.backup to restore anything? my baseband is
completely empty. cannot load it with bbupdater. nothing even if i restore
with itunes. so i'm wondering what's the use of the seczone.backup. coz i
created that before i tried virginizer.

You need a special loader to replace the erased seczone area (if that's indeed
what
you really did). I can make you one, but I don't release these in general
because
they could cause a lot of damage in the hands of people who don't understand
their
use very clearly. Please contact me via email and I'll try to help you out.

Hi czimman,
I've the same problem, or I guess, any restore I do with iTunes is successfully
done with 1.1.1 and failed with
1.0.2 (1013), however in both case the iphone is really slow as a crashing
demon is running in background. I
manage to have the boot messages print on the iphone with iBrickr and a clear
message "Failed to load firmware"
occurs multiple times, CRC error in SDIO block Write 0x006861c0
Is this something I can resolve? How can I send you details on this issue by
email?

after restoring to 1.0.2 ...getting the unknown error (1013) is alright.

See if you can download AppTapp installer...

Keep ur iPhone connected to ur PC and close iTunes.

1. Once you get the unknown error 1013, try installing AppTapp. This should
error out.
2. Open iTunes and close again.
3. Try install AppTapp once again... should complete the process successfully
this time.
4. use Carnival/pacay to activate ur iPhone.
5. Virginize your iPhone by adding http://i.unlock.no as a source using ur Wi-Fi
connection. Once installed, install "the Virginizer" which can be found under
UNLOCKING TOOLS category. This should downgrade ur baseband to version 3
something.
6. Now u can upgrade to 1.1.1 and follow the usual process of jailbreaking

i believe #5 is not needed... but u rather be safe than sorry ;)

Hi all,

a month ago i was on 2.2.1 with my iPhone 2G and suddenly a message of Need
Repair appeared on mi iPhone.

I´ve tried a lot of things without fix it!

I would like to know which firmware i should have to run the Virginizer. Could
i do
over 1.1.4? I´m not able to restore to a previous version of 1.1.4

And on 1.1.4, 2.1 and 2.2.1 could i run the Virginizer changing the secpack and
the
ICE file?

I´ve found all these secpacks:

secpack31206.bin, secpack31408.bin, secpack40213.bin, secpack40313.bin,
secpack40405.bin, secpack40501.bin, secpack40504.bin

and ICEs these ones :

ICE2_01.43-eep-fls.tbz, ICE2_01.45.00.eep, ICE2_01.48.02.eep,
ICE04.01.13_G-eep-fls.rar, ICE04.02.13_G-eep-fls.rar, ICE04.03.12_G-eep-fls.rar,
ICE04.04.05_G.eep-fls.rar, ICE04.05.01_G-eep-fls.rar, ICE04.05.04-eep-fls.rar

NOTE: All the sw i got if from here.
