[ ] after #20 apply the https://github.com/mdaeron/D47crunch script to our test dataset
[ ] compare raw D47 values between two approaches
[ ] figure out differences

anecdotally, I did this for the Walvis Ridge dataset but arrived at very different results. Contact me if you're going to try and want to reuse my old messy python code.
