@jelletreep I have a version of the python workbench catalog item that also comes with miniconda. Do you think a separate miniconda catalog item is necessary? The python workbench one installs miniconda per-user, is a system-wide variant needed?

@dometto great! Separate miniconda catalog item is not necessary. I do see a use case for conda environments that are used by multiple users on the same workspace, I think this can only be done with system wide installation? If users follow good practices and use a requirements file to reproduce environments, this would not be necessary, but in practice not everyone knows how to do this. It has happened before that people want to use the same conda environment

I noticed there are two documentation pages concerning Whisper: [whisper-ubuntu.qmd](https://github.com/UtrechtUniversity/vre-docs/blob/main/docs/workspaces/whisper-ubuntu.qmd) and whisper.qmd. Which of these (or both) should we keep?
