macOS/Linux support #2

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I play longvinter on both steamos/proton and macos/wine. As you can see, the client load is successful, but there is a issue that cannot connect to server.

Describe the solution you'd like Can you please add macOS/Linux support library for easyanticheat to Windows client?

Describe alternatives you've considered As a result of checking the server log, I found easyanticheat does not work, so the server kicks it. Inside the game files there was only the Windows library.

  • Go into the SDK Configuration settings menu on the EAC partner site and enable Linux as a client platform.
  • Go into the Client Module Releases menu on the EAC partner site, choose the Unix platform, and activate a module. If you cannot find the Linux module in the status dashboards, please contact EAC support.
  • Once that's done, download the EAC SDK and find the Linux library (\Client\Assets\Plugins\x86_64\libeasyanticheat.so) for the SDK version integrated with your game, rename it to easyanticheat_x64.so, and add it to your depot next to the Windows library (EasyAntiCheat_x64.dll).
  • Lastly, on the Steamworks site, publish a new build of your game containing the new depot contents. (You don't have to make any changes to the game executable, just include the new files in the depot contents.)

I thought we already enabled it. Will look into it later today.

Any updates on this @cherryblossom2020? Attempted to play the game on Steam Deck and still cannot join games. The game just seems to hang.

The issue can be resolved, other EAC clients work on Steam Deck, something needs to be changed in the implementation for Steam Deck support.
