When you put the focus on the field by the code, The keyboard does appear even if ShowVirtualKeyboardOnFocus is set to false.

I'm sorry for the delay. I will have to investigate this (and I need it for my own project, too). But due to other priorities that will take a few weeks.

Hi, I'm sorry, I had no time investigating this further. It seems to have a dependency to the Xamarin Forms version and the Android version used. I'm currently working on a MAUI-project and I have started a discussion with the Microsoft Team to see if this could be solved in the basic control because I believe that would be the only way to fix it permanently. I'll try to get new information from them but I think they are miles deep in the Release-process at the moment...
