Add PCIe disks?

Currently this article just has SATA and SSD drives. Do we want to have PCIe disks in it as well?

@bcaswelch

This is a good question. M2 NVME disks right now are about 300% more expensive than SATA3 disks. The motherboard has one M2 slot. However, you can buy PCIe Add In cards that either provide M2 slots or that are NVME disks. That said, it occupies the PCIe slot we have for GPU. Applications for this would be data base server. However, this field is a very small niche market and requires lots of specialized know how that we do not have. As such I suggest to leave this as is. Who needs more data at high speed can be served with SSD SATA RAID. Say 1TB or 2TB @ 1200 MB/s is still respectable. Say you use Adobe apps, than you can put your cache on the NVME boot disks and your data on SATA RAID. This is blazing fast. Who has the need and skill to build a server system with NVME data disk can buy a workstation with free PCIe slot and buy himself an NVME disk. The hardware supports it, but I suggest we do not put this in the list of configurations that we support.

Please polish this chapter, rewrite for point of view to customer and add it to the article.

@VillageHubertChen

Okay, good points. I think that having the NVME for the golden sample will be a great showcase of performance but there will only be a limited number of people actually using them. I'll keep updating the article.

@bcaswelch

For the show case ViPC we will have the M2 NVME (mounted in slot in motherboard) and a PCIe GPU in the PCe slot.

Information updated, still need to update the table of contents and images. Rest is done.

@VillageHubertChen

Okay good, that was my thinking as well for the showcase model as well.
