Foreign Characters

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Board names with foreign characters, for example: Jabber İletişim 
Hizmeti

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected is: http://www.bozcaadalovers.com/smf/jabber-iletisim-hizmeti/
Output: http://www.bozcaadalovers.com/smf/jabber-letiim-hizmeti/

What version of the mod, and what version of SMF are you using?
Pretty URLs - Base   0.8.4
SMF: 1.1.10

What other mods do you have installed?
None

I have the same problem. All the URLs are becoming aooa_aaao_amo (example).

Any idea how to fix it to work with Cyrilic titles?
At the moment I am not sure it helps improving SEO  with those links.

Ok I`ve been able to get cyrilic chars to work correct with some modifications, 
but
now I get 404 error and have no idea why. Both tables in the DB are converted to
utf8-general-ci, the mod writes the URIs correct  so I am clueless where the 
issue is.
Any help please?
And if some one needs the modified file, here it is, attached.

Hi dannii, the forum is http://mercedes-bulgaria.com/forum
The mod is disabled , because of the 404 errors.
Using it unmodified it works, but only replases  a,o,e,m,k,t wich is normal 
because
there  are no cyrillic chars.
After I modified some files URI`s are shown ok but none of them opens the post.
Do you want me to enable it again but I have to know when please?

Did the mod ever work, or did you always have 404s?

Yes it did - before I modified it and only showed latin letters.After the
modifcations URIs are shown correct with cyrillic  but 404 was shown after 
clicking
to any forum or toppic.

Ohhh... well you broke it. You'll also have to change the rewrite patterns and 
the
code in QueryString.php that checks if a topic exists.

Can you please tell me what exactly have to be changed, so we can make your mod 
fully
functional with none latin chars. I think it will help other people as well.
If you need bulgarian translation of your mod I´ll be happy to contribute.

No sorry I don't have the time. What you want to do isn't supported by this mod 
and
never has been.

I do understand that You are out of time , but why lock the topic, may be some 
one
else can help.
Seems other people need Your mod with none latin chars.  too, consider that I

Issue 31 is tracking any progress made to the URL generator, which will be for 
1.1. I
don't know if 1.1 will ever get released though... I am losing interest in this 
mod
and there doesn't appear to be anyone to help.
