I'm trying the game Wildcatting out (It's a game I played in my youth at my sitters place) and found an online resource for playing the game in a web browser.
I was introduced to VCC and immediately downloaded the ROM from the Archive, spun up the emulator and attached the cartridge image, but the keyboard input is SUUuuper slow only when selecting the number of players, and entering my name and selecting the joystick option. I can hear four pulses of audio (Sawtooth-ish?) between each keypress and then things continue.
After that point, and getting into the actual game, I'm able to move the cursor around the map, I can hit SPACE to select my drill spot, etc, etc, and things "seem" to work as I would have expected.
This might be a niche problem, but this is my first go at the emulator and found a difference between the online emulator and the Windows emulator.
I also tried going back one version of VCC and I'm still getting the same behaviour, so whatever "this" is seems to be somethings that's been around for a while in this game?
