The scatter plot is our only floating chart which represents raw values rather than summary values of one sort or another. This makes it difficult or impossible to accurate represent pools of specimens in a traditional scatter plot. The quickest thing, to get us to a beta release, is to axe scatter for now. We can consider introducing a Bubble Plot at a later date, and determine its priority after an initial release of the SAM.
