ClinEpi felt it was disconcerting for the tree to change based on where on the site the user is. having all of the variables in the tree makes it clear that nothing is accidentally missing, and the user can infer from the types of variables greyed out that a histogram is the wrong type of plot to use if they want to plot a categorical variable
but it can also be confusing if viz constraints cause most vars to be gray variables
The client remembers your choice for Only show compatible variables in the viz tab variable tree for the analysis (browser storage IIRC). maybe it could be permanent for the analysis instead of the more ephemeral session?
