a lot of the megastudy data is collected over several days or a week. these collection events have start and end dates in the database. Currently if a user builds a visualization with either of these dates, all samples/ specimens for that collection are represented by a single day rather than several. Dataviz should discuss better ways to visually represent date ranges.
