VDI: better UI needed for DIY uploads #693

when you upload a DIY file, you stay on the “new upload” tab but everything is greyed out. so it doesn’t look like the upload worked. users won’t know to navigate over to the recent uploads tab to see progress

we need to improve the UI around this

this has changed in VDI hopefully better.
