Optimize map marker visualizations for large datasets to ensure acceptable performance for map application

Overview

• Run map visualization plugin against fully loaded megastudy map data
• Profile the application to determine where the bottleneck is
• Apply fixes and create subtasks where necessary after profiling.

Acceptance Criteria

• TBD exact service-level latency agreements. The map should feel responsive when scrolling around visualizing the megastudy
• Document where the bottleneck is (merging, subsetting, data) and document results of profiling
