Visualization controls are sluggish if the plot has many points #1385

We probably knew this already, but here is an example to help anyone who want to have a look at this

Example SCORE S. mansoni Cluster Randomized Trial Viz: boxplot X-axis: age group Y-axis: schisto infection by intensity

Then play around with the overlay variable. Notice that there's a long lag between selecting (or cancelling) a variable and the input widget dismissing.

Filter to a much smaller subset and the problem is less noticeable.

I took a look at this study. There are tons of outliers in this plot. E.g., 9-12 years old has 12,584 outliers, and 20-55 years old has 28,936. That is a lot of points to plot. Should we prevent this somehow?
