seen on qa, study=Anopheles albimanus

We can see that the data is there, but the points aren't appearing.

I can't reproduce this on qa. Maybe a recent update unwittingly addressed this?

ETA: I didn't include the overlay variable. After including, I am able to reproduce. I suspect this has to do with how overlay data is being handled.

@asizemore I assume this is a "Must have" for b62?

asizemore commented 1 year ago

It's not very common, so I don't think it should hold up the release. Still, it'd be quite helpful for it to get done :) How about i'll call it a high priority nice to have :) No one should be losing sleep over it, but let's keep this at the top of the list for things to do if people have extra time

That sounds good to me! I have plenty of other reasons to lose sleep 👦👧👦

Investigated a bit more. For whatever reason, the data here has a seriesGradientColorscale column even though it has only 8 values. The ds alpha div plugin doesn't allow cont overlays yet (here's that PR) but when it does, this issue should be fixed.

We're moving towards having all numbers, regardless of cardinality, use a gradient colormap, so i'm not planning to look into why this var differs from the other low cardinality numeric vars way just yet :)

I'll check back on this issue when the ds PR is closed, and will close this issue if it's all solved.

problem is not solved. Still an issue. I'll look into it some more!

I think we removed the Anopheles study. Haven't been able to reproduce. Closing
