Hi. I have already seen two posts about this error, but in my case nothing helped. This error keeps showing up on both versions GOG/Retail.
Here's some things that i tried
● Change sample rate
● Turn off headphones/microphone (even unplug from pc)
● Reinstall both versions of game
● Start game without fix
● Start game in compatibility mode (Windows XP pack 2/3)
● Turn on DirectPlay
● Download DirectX8.1/9/SDK
● Reinstall sound drivers
● Use different headphones/bluetooth headphones
As additional info:
When i tried to start retail version without fix, a standard launcher say that i don't have DirectX8.1 on my windows, but when i turned on DirectPlay, this error disappeared, maybe this somehow connected.
