APN problem #5

Hello.

My N19 works fine, but i have a problem with APN.
I can connect normally and works fine, but sometimes after phone was idle and i
try to use internet it doesn't work. I have the APN icon in the notifications
bar, but the arrows are grey and never became white. If i rebot the phone
everything works fine.

I have two apn configs, One is named "pepephone" and it's working, the other is
blank and i have it named "internet off". usually i change from "internet off"
to "pepephone" and everything is fine, but as in the previous case, sometimes
after phone was idle i changed to "pepephone" and nothing happends, icon is not
show in the notifications bar, a rebot alwais work.

I tried to update the phone with the recent official update (big one), but the
problem is still present,as the google sync issue that i can not fix because
adb say me than there are no devices connected (i'm using the driver found on
this page).

The about phone data are:

TA1.Android.es
firmware 1.5
kernel 2.6.25
ljx@ljx #560
compilation TA1-eng 1.5 CUPCAKE eng.
robinlaw.20091201.115218 test-keys

any idea?

Hi Arsies,

Have you tried opening u pyour phone and cleaning the antenna? i did it myself
and it corrected the problem, although the antenna contact seems a little
weared and sometimes i need to push the casing where the antenna is located to
enable phone signal again.

Also, i installed MySettings app from the market, it enables you to switch
airplane mode, which is fine because it lets you reboot the GSM subsytem
without resetting the phone.

It is in the lower part of the phone, on the backplane (at the other side of
the USB connector). It is a copper, telescopic contact that touches a metal pad
that is connected to something that looks a like an RFID tag.
