List your top 3 tasks or objectives for this week:
Review and refine search strategies for key terms across multiple databases.
Collaborate with the team to create a shared document for organizing terms and research progress.
Meeting with team members to choose terms and split the work.
Weekly Accomplishments:
[ ] I completed refining the search terms and categorized them according to subtopics. Terms related to "urban design" and "mental health" were reviewed and focus on relevance and specificity. I also more experimented with Boolean Formula to optimize search results across PubMed and Google Scholar and in Web of Science.
Challenges and Learning:
[ ] I learned about MECE (Mutually Exclusive, Collectively Exhaustive) is a problem-solving framework used to organize information clearly:
• Mutually Exclusive means no overlap—each item or category is distinct and unique.
• Collectively Exhaustive ensures all possible options are covered, leaving nothing out.
By applying MECE, we can break down complex topics into clear, non-overlapping parts that cover everything, making decision-making and analysis more efficient. ( Hint: we won't apply it for now)
Reflection and Planning:
Review the downloaded files before uploading into Covidence.
Familiarize myself with the databases, learn how to download and filter data.
