XML does not show initial < in V 0.1 #2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use Tester 
2. Set to XML
3. notice some text is not displayed.
4. Clear text, and type first <
5. The first < is not shown until full tag is displayed

This is fixed in 080621 release.  The cause was drawing default, unmapped 
characters
in white over white background.

I added a DEFAULT SyntaxStyle, and set the defaults to BLACK.
