A Linux native build would make life so much easier for Linux users. I'm fighting with QEMU and virt manager to get this working

Rookie is open source. Feel free to contribute. (also, Linux is a total re-code of the whole application, so it's not happening any time soon). Alternatives are available on the Wiki / our Help Channels.
