Between the default hand animations and the grip to the default to the pivot point associated with VRTK Interactable Object objects, it can be a bit off-putting.

Describe the solution you'd like A clear and concise description of what you want to happen. Add and adjust snap handles (empty game objects) that can be fed into the child of controller or fixed joint grab attach components in order to customize and specify where you'd like the player to grab the object.

Replay First Contact for reference. Grabbed objects are snapped into specific orientations. Additionally, hand animations are carefully chosen dependent on the object. Might not have that luxury to do the animations during production, but it's a refinement to be considered in addition to improved gripping points (snap handles).

Describe alternatives you've considered A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered. Re-activating precision grab could work on some objects. Things like knives might not be ideal to enable precision grab, but it's a matter of object by object basis.

Additional context Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here. Regardless of what type of grab attach component you're using (child of controller, fixed joint, etc), there should be an option for two game objects (snap handle left, snap handle right) to be dragged and dropped into the inspector. Place your snap handles into those slots, and adjust the transform information as you so choose.
