Completely agree, but hosting project like this on AWS will cost a lot. A LOT. From another side a mirror always good for stability.
i know, in fact aws is far from being what i would like to host it on we may give linode s3 or digitalocean spaces a try and see how much traffic they make. otherwise i can host it on the parrotsec infrastructure and take advantage of our master nodes. it fhe archive is small enough, i may consider the idea of hosting in on our repo spacename and have it copied on all our mirrors as well. a downside of using the mirror network is that every user would see the parrot name in the download url, and i am not here to advertise the project. but hosting it on our masternodes only is amazing for whitelabeling the whole download process
Just a note: we do have downloads.vscodium.com now, but because of the SSL error (domain mismatch) I'm not sure if that's better than it was before. @paulcarroty Is it possible for you to get an updated Let's encrpt certificate which includes this subdomain?
@ all: Do you see more subdomains that should be used or is that part solved and the question here is about using a CDN?
@GitMensch I can add new domain but Gitlab Pages needs an interactive TXT record verification for LE certificate.
There's a certificte error now in download.vscodium.com, please fix.

What @martinszy ?
@stechsoft13 There is from time to time
Same problem here. A hint for people upgrading Linux Mint and coming here from duckduckgo: You need to temporarily disable (comment out) this repo in order to upgrade Linux Mint.
This is solved for me.
Hello, i would like to create some dedicated subdomains for the official downloads and the package repository.
@paulcarroty currently maintains the apt and rpm repos, and it would be amazing to host them on a dedicated platform outside gitlab under our domain.
if you agree, i can figure out the best way to host it (what about using s3 buckets and a cdn?). of course i am more than happy to pay for it
