I wrote this quickly but I think it's reasonably complete now.

Texts can probably be improved. Probably other things too.

The Preferences field is still a text field with free input, like how it is now. So I guess that can be used for that.

I will wait to see if @DutcherNL finds time to review these PRs. Otherwise, I will just merge them.
