I have exactly this problem on Google Nexus 5, Android 4.4, KeePassDroid 1.99.11
From KeePassDroid I can navigate to the .kdb file, can see a greyed-out icon
representing this file, but can not select the file. File is greyed out and
unresponsive.

Have tried this with .kdb file in a couple of different locations on handset.
First pathname was rather long (download via SpiderOak cloud backup/sync);
tried again with .kdb file in Downloads folder. Unresponsive in all cases.

I have seen this problem reported elsewhere; in issue 612
https://code.google.com/p/keepassdroid/issues/detail?id=612
for example.

I have the same issue, with the password databases seemingly not recognized by
the mobile client. I tried not only a KDB file but also a CSV file, and even
THAT wasn't accepted. I tried this both on SD card and internal phone storage.

Mobile Side:
LG G4 running Android V 5.1
KeePassDroid V2.0.3

Desktop side:
Win 8.1 x64
KeePass 2.29

If this happened to me I could always create a new file and import the
"corrupted" providing the password.

Did work the three, four times I had to do this.
