Model freezes (crashes) with "clumondo.exe has stopped working" windows error message. #2

  1. When running the model from the command line (the model is all set up)
  2. Happens with the most recent version (post-august, with demand overshoot/undershoot and dynamic locspecs).
  3. after running the model, it starts to run, updates the input information, calculates preference maps and starts iterating. Mostly it occurs in year 1, sometimes also in the middle of the run (e.g. year 27).
  4. never happens in smaller regions (in terms of cell number).
  5. the behaviour is seemingly random: according to Peter, it has to do with the memory allocation. So far, me and Peter were the only ones who witnessed this bug, with my EU Mediterranean application (the largest in terms of cell number). Peter still explores what might be causing it, we will try using a computer with more memory.

The first thing to do when having this error is to check your input maps for consistency. If there is NoData somewhere, where there is data in the region.asc, this error will mostly show, but the model may also run other times, or show other errors like 'Same land cover cannot change autonomous in two different new land covers'

sorry to bother you.I have a problem with clumondo model calculations - it stopped and in log.fil file appears the information: "no solution; program terminated". how can I resolve this？I've already cheek my region.asc and cov_all.0.asc,the region is same.

Hi, there are many possible reasons for stopping the model. Could you send me the log file？ I can help you check and find the possible problems.
