The same thing happened to me. It appears that the application does not have the Qt libraries installed into it.
Vaa3D works on OSX 10.13.4 once you have the right version of Qt library. Follow here: https://github.com/Vaa3D/Vaa3D_Wiki/wiki/Build-Vaa3D-on-Mac-OS
I am trying to install Vaa3D Binary Release v3.458 on Mojave and I get an error message saying this version is not compatible with my OS. The newest Vaa3D releases do not offer a binary for OS. Does this mean the only option is to compile it?
