The first contacts in the tree are not responding to left mouse clicks on some days #1736

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.
2.  I don't have a clue when this will happen and when not
3.

What is the expected result?
On single or double click on the first 16 (varying) contacts I expect to open a 
message window or be able to drag contacts.

What happens instead?
Nothing. Mouse doesn't select the contacts (or groups)
