Device manufacturer

[X] ASUS [X] LENOVO

Device model

Handheld Companion Version 0.21.6.0

Describe the bug When using the Xbox Series 2 controller with Handheld Companion, the controller is only recognized when connected via Bluetooth. However, when plugged in via USB, the controller is not detected by Handheld Companion. The device is recognized by the PC/handheld and shows up in the Xbox accessories software, but Handheld Companion does not detect it. This issue might also occur with other controllers connected via USB.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Connect the Xbox Series 2 controller via Bluetooth.

  2. Open Handheld Companion; the controller is recognized.

  3. Plug in the controller via USB.

  4. Handheld Companion does not recognize the controller, even though it is detected by the PC/handheld and the Xbox software. It doesn't show it at all.

Expected behavior The Xbox Series 2 controller should be recognized by Handheld Companion when connected via USB, just as it is when connected via Bluetooth. So it can be used even with a low battery or a bad Bluetooth connection, and also if the controller only works when wired due to any other reasons.
