How to automatically turn desktop mode on and off #1173

Hello.

I am on a steamdeck and want to use the physically steam controller when playing with steam. when playing via epic and or other apps I want to use the virtual x360 controller. this works great with the new "hybrid" mode.

But need the desktop mode for normal handling, browsing, installing games, etc... And whenever i start an App (steam or epic or something else), I need to manually disable the desktop mode and reactivate it when closing the app.

Is there a way to automate this? (maybe some profiling...?)

You could configure the Default profile Layout with the Desktop template and then make profiles for all your games.
