Hey @rubenhansen94 sorry to hear you are having trouble. The settings should auto save and it appears you indeed have a profile for the game.
As a test, can you set all settings to disabled on that page and see if you still have the problem?
Not entirely related to the issue. But the "make this the default layout" means it will copy that layout to newly created profiles. It does not mean it will be the default layout for that profile. (There's only one layout per profile)
You might not want that set on a specific game profile.
Thank for your replies!
@MSeys Aha I understand. And does "Apply Template" == load template selected in the dropdown menu? I first read it as Apply settings to the template selected in the dropdown menu.
@CasperH2O Yes sorry for not specifying that. I set every setting to disabled and launched the game. I retried it just now with my new understanding for how the templates work and set it up correctly. However, tapping the Trackpad still makes the character attack. I went back to check the HC software with the game running and every setting is set to disabled in the "Profile: Horizon Zero Dawn".
Is there a way to completely disable the trackpad like there was an option for in the Legion R menu?
Apply template will apply the settings of the template to the layout on the profile, overwriting what was on the layout on the profile.
For your issue, could you check that touchpad passthrough is OFF on the Controller page in the Main Window of HC? If you have it on passthrough, it will do the default behavior that Lenovo baked in.
You need it set to OFF as HC will then overwrite it with the emulated behavior you can set in the layout.
@MSeys Thank you for clarifying. Touchpad passthrough is set to OFF.
Could you also double check you have the layout actually enabled? If you go to the profile, the switch on the Controller Layout "block" should be on.
@MSeys I will try another game and see how it behaves. Currently got Lies of P installed on Game Pass and Monster Hunter: World on Steam.
@MSeys Doing some testing in Lies of P. The trackpad was still responding to touch with the Controller layout set to have it disabled. But I tried enabling and disabling "Touchpad passthrough" and now the trackpad is disabled and not responding to touch input. I went back to Horizon Zero Dawn and it is fixed there as well.
After restarting the device the problem is still fixed. It appears that the problems was "Touch passthrough" was set to OFF, but it was still behaving as ON until I enabled and disabled again.
Thank you so much for the help and assistance!
Can still be reproduced when waking from sleep.

Describe the bug Profiles -> Controller layout -> Trackpads -> RightPad. All settings get reset back to default after I change them and go back to the game window. I'm trying to play Horizon Zero Dawn on Epic Launcher. Have both editing real-time with the game open, and with the game closed and launch it after editing. I've set up custom profile for the game and everything works fine except that I can't turn off the trackpad. It keep recognizing my palm as a mouse click and have the game character unexpectedly attack.
I've tried changing the Layout template picker and applied the changes to all templates, but it still resets back to default.
Expected behavior I want to disable the trackpad.
