Train near a curved track sometimes causes blocks to 'become' train tracks #71

I've encountered a similar issue to #2, #59, however I've done more testing.

The issue

My hypothesis is this: a train that has a bent (diagonal does not seem to trigger it) track near it, seem to sometimes make blocks on the same y-level "link" with that bent piece of track. A "linked" block will appear as 'train track' when looking at it using the HWYLA (or similar) mod. Although it's seemingly very inconsistent, this is the best way I've been able to reproduce the bug.

2024-03-05_00 19 19 In this picture, you can see that the bent track, has caused this blue concrete to "become a train track". When trying to break it, it will break that curved track instead.


2024-03-05_00 36 41 There also seems to be a range of about 12 blocks (at least in the south direction. The track in the picture is running on the East/West axis). If there is a track following the red blocks, I can produce the bug as in the first picture. If there is track following the green blocks, I cannot.


2024-03-04_23 43 32 The scale of the bug also seems to vary (possibly related to the amount/length of the curve). In our survival server, we've had it come trigger via other contraptions too, if a train was near assembled. The train was 50-70 blocks away from the contraption. In this picture, the black/yellow area represents the area I was most consistently getting the bug, with the train assembled, but stationary. The black/red area seemed to be more inconsistent. The white/blue line was to indicate what track was actually straight still. Ignore the random blue block. In this picture, every block in the red/yellow/black area has been tested to be in range of the bug. Any other block was either the middle block of the train track, or did not seem to trigger the bug.

Hi! I am experiencing the same issue. I don't really know how Interactive could mess with train tracks when intuitively they should only change how the actual trains/contraptions work and render. This is really annoying, especially when digging blocks right under sloped tracks. You have to destroy the bent/sloped tracks, do what is necessary with the bugged blocks and replace the tracks...

To add to this now, I'm having this issue without even a train being on the track. Instead, having a Valkerien Skies airship nearby (in my case it was roughly 30 blocks away, and about 10 blocks above) also causes this issue. Would love to get an update on this
