Closed Nhandu closed 7 years ago

Nhandu commented 7 years ago

It's crashing randomly while doing something in the main interface or while connecting to a match, trying to demo a hero or trying to watch a game.

I've attached two dump files: dump files.zip

Launch options: -console -vulkan

System Information: OS: Windows 10 version 1607

Hardware: CPU: AMD FX-6300 GPU: Nvidia GTX 750 Ti 2GB

Driver: Nvidia 376.33

Steam system information: https://gist.github.com/Nhandu/02217ce187be8bb502acdb710318d88b

The first crash is inside scaleform, the second crash is in the NVIDIA driver without a clear call stack.

I believe I may have fixed your crash, same issue as #188. The fix will be in the next Dota 2 Update, when that comes out I'll update this bug and then please test again and if you still see crashes post a new minidump. Thanks.

The fix for this shipped in the Jan 5th update today. I'll close this out, if it happens again you can post here with a crash dump and I can reopen.

@danginsburg Thank you, It isn't crashing constantly now but after an intense and laggy dota imba I went to demo hero and It crashed while loading the map crash_dota2.exe_20170105224725_1.zip

Crash note: the attached minidump is an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ in scaleformui_4_vulkan.dll.
