Ram usage increased steadily throughout the game, eventually using up about 6.5gb.

Edit: added dxdiag for specs DxDiag.txt

Same here, AMD driver on Linux. Got 40 minutes into the game and then it became unplayable. I reported it to AMD also but I would guess it is just something not being unloaded. I can reproduce it very easily so if Valve want some info I'd be happy to give it.

Same, AMD on Windows 64 bits

I don't think it's the same issue but it's a memory leak after all so I'll put it here. Basically when I start up the game and I get in the menu it uses about 1800-2200 memory already. Then it keeps increasing.

When in the game it decreased slowly again (not like it got cleaned as soon as I went in the game)

During loading it also still leaked but a bit slower than in game it seemed. It's about 5-10MB a second in the menu for me.

Eventually in game it went back down to about 1800-1900 and stayed there till the end of the game. As soon as the game ended it started leaking again but it's getting cleaned eventually. It leaks faster now it seems (about 10-20MB a second) but it gets cleaned every minute or two it seems. After it collects garbage it does leak a lot slower but it will slowly increase again.

It seems kinda random and weird but I'm sure there is some sort of pattern. Hope this info helps to reproduce the issue.

I have identified the memory leak in the Vulkan Scaleform render backend. We are looking into it.

Plagman commented 8 years ago

Also please make sure you're using the Steam Client Beta when testing the Vulkan code, as the regular client can negatively impact Vulkan perf on AMD.

danginsburg commented 8 years ago

I have fixed the memory leak in Scaleform and it will be in a future Dota 2 update.

Rojoss commented 8 years ago

Sweet thnx @danginsburg Working pretty good for me apart from this issue. Just a few graphical glitches but performance wise it's fine apart from memory issues. :+1:

danginsburg commented 8 years ago

This should be fixed in the 5/24 update. Please let me know if not.
