Your system information

System Information

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

  1. When I do vulknainfo at my terminal its gives: /build/vulkan-tools-136mCR/vulkan-tools-1.1.126.0+dfsg1/vulkaninfo/vulkaninfo.h:399: failed with ERROR_INITIALIZATION_FAILED
  2. Trying to play Company of Heroes, steam has installed it. When I press the PLAY button, the PLAY button changes to the STOP button, its tries to launch the game with that popup appearing, but it soon dies, and the STOP button changes back to the original PLAY button. I understand my graphics card is old, but I have played the game with wine on Linux and on windows with the same graphics card.
  3. I can play Counter strike 1.6 but Counter-Strike Go, takes too much time.
  4. I have tried to follow the template and may not have included all the information, but please do let me know if you need any more information.
  5. This is the terminal output when I launch steam via terminal. Terminal Output

Hello @sakhan007, the nVidia 9500 GT is a Tesla generation video card and that generation of hardware does not support Vulkan.

It's not clear why you're asking about this on Dota 2's Vulkan backend issue tracker, but I'm guessing that you're to experiment with Proton, and Proton uses DXVK to translate DirectX 9 / 10 / 11 to Vulkan. The lack of support for Vulkan with your video card and driver makes your system unsupported by Proton in general.

Closing as out-of-scope for this issue tracker.
