+1 I'm having the same experience - totally unplayable for many days. System Version: macOS 10.12.5 (16F73) Model Name: iMac Model Identifier: iMac17,1 Processor Name: Intel Core i7 Processor Speed: 4 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 4 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache: 8 MB
Have you verified your installs?
Yes.
+1 I tried to reinstall Dota2 but it's no use. Not only Dota2 L4D and other steam games also drop fps
After 4-5 games of Underhollow, my FPS decrease from 70+ to ~15 (it progressively decrease like ~50 in the second game, ~30 in the third game). I noticed that steam app (not DOTA2 app) used high % of CPU. I exited both. Launch the game again. FPS is at ~60.
Machine: Macbook Pro non-touchbar 13 inch 2016 OS: Mojave beta 2
Now that the Vulkan support for macOS is out how does it compare on your systems?
After the last update I experience a great drop in performance. The FPS drops from 120 in game beginning to 20 and lower even when video settings are set to minimal and the resolution to 1280x800. With higher video settings it constantly freezes with errors.
CSwapChainBase::QueuePresentAndWait() looped for 21 iterations without a present event
I tried several solutions to increase performance: closed all background application, verified dota 2 files, restarted the OS, on/off overlay, but the game is basically not playable at the lowest video settings.
