I see you're on Archlinux. I had this problem (actually, currently in low priority 😅). In my case all the RAM was used after some minutes of gameplay. In the worst cases after seconds. So tried uninstalling and reinstalling Steam, and as I saw someone mention to avoid "amdvlk64.so" I selected vulkan-radeon instead of the default amdvlk as a provider for the vulkan drivers.
I also let the "precache shaders" finish before jumping in. Might be a coincidence but it seems to have fixed the excessive RAM usage and the very frequent crashes.
System crashes (windows crash, linux force shut down) when playing dota 2 on the dedicated graphics card on an AMD advantage laptop. Game runs fine on the integrated card though. Everything is updated (including bios, vbios), game files verified etc. The steam client is so unresponsive on linux and so took the system information from windows. Since it is a system crash, I tried to repoduce the issue on many other games, but none crash, only DotA2. Crashes irrespective of vulkan, opengl or directx. To repoduce,
The system will crash 9/10 times on the hero loading screen (after strategy time, after screen blacks out) or randomly anytime inside the game. System information OS - Arch (fully updated) Driver stack - mesa. Laptop - Asus G513QY AMD Advantage Edition CPU - Ryzen 5900HX GPU - Radeon RX 6800M - Flounder Crash has been happening for about 6 months and I thought some update or driver update or bios update will fix it, but none has fixed it till now. I can reliably reproduce the crash any time. Let me know if I can help with anything else. All other games I have tried runs without any problems, eg. csgo, gta5, rdr2, witcher3, but dota2 crashes in a few minutes.
