Game minimizes on shop open since Muerta update

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Opening the shop since the Muerta update (7.32e) causes Dota 2 to minimize and typing text into chat no longer works.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Launch Dota2
2. Either attempt to use the party chat bar at bottom of screen and observe no text output or,
3. Demo hero and attempt to open/close the shop and observe game minimizes
4. Re-maximize game to resume play

I think in Desktop mode, the on-screen keyboard is glitched and minimizes your game client instead of appearing.

proton doesn't have the issue; but proton crashes on joining a real game. works well in demo hero. i've tried -nojoy, -nocontroller, and disabling steam input. none had any effect.

My issues seem to have gone away if i close the Steam client window on desktop mode (or just minimize it?).

This worked for me more or less also! The game still seems to be trying to alt tab to the next window and finds itself or something and hangs for 1/4 second or so on shop open but it's much better.

Another aspect that remains with the above 'fix' is I get edge panning lag on occasion ever since the introduction of this issue. It's a little comical that there's a problem when I'm using hardware made by Valve, an OS made by Valve, a platform made by Valve and a game made by Valve but I recognize the use case is obscure.
