Yeah, the game is crashing incredibly frequently. Every time I queue into a match, it crashes. It will crash 50% of the time on launch.

Mac Studio M1, when I click accept the match -> crash game. This problem never happened before the Ring Master update.

The problem is inconsistent.

Possible workaround (I managed to play a Turbo after doing this):

1. Start Dota 2 through Steam
2. Start Demo -> it crashes with Error 24
3. Click Reopen
4. Start Demo/Try Matchmaking

it looks M1 user have more serious problem related to this error 24. im using M3pro, the issue might be (im not sure) based on the chipset or the OS itself.

same error happened to me 9 or 10 hours ago (error 24)

i was about to open an issue log then i saw the question from the description saying Have you verified the game files?. i tried it first, but luckily when i opened the app again the error didnt show up until now.

Tried doing this (forced crash through accepting a match) and was able to start a bot match, watch a friend game, and start a match Seems like a workaround for now.

Yes, that worked for me as well:

• Start Dota2 normally through Steam.
• After you get the Unable to create event error don't do anything.
• Wait for the usual macOS popup when an app crashes - the one that has the Reopen button.
• Use the Reopen button to open Dota
• Doesn't crash anymore

Running the Dota 2 binary directly, instead of through Steam, will fix the problem, and you won't experience crashes.

Happening to me, Mac M1 Pro. Game crashes after match. I also haven't been receiving any post-game BP points either. I've won at least 1 game for the past two days and my level hasn't increased yet.

Edit: I don't think bingo is working for me either. Everything is 0/x.

Fast check. Bug fixed. Don't crush anymore. Need to test after game. But I suppose u fixed it 99%

(I had it mostly at start, and after checking new hero if I somehow passed the startup crush) now it works properly. Reopened several times to check.

there are still problems when starting a local lobby with bots. I do this on purpose so that Dota crashes and is guaranteed not to crash upon restart, I'm afraid to start ranked mm without this so as not to get banned if there is a crash during ranked mm
