I have been trying to repro your issue. You obviously have a machine more than capable of running Dota 2. I tried installing Xfce on Ubuntu hoping maybe that was the issue, but can't repro it under that either. I know you posted on another issue, but I can't recall: did running with -sw make no difference for you? I just want to eliminate fullscreen being the issue as it was in #359.
The command buffer full warnings are an interesting clue. Trying to figure out what might cause that.
I managed to fix it. Steps:
