Stuck in the same mmr for 10 Years #10248

Description

Dota is a good game, you are just draining its last blood. 10 years of this toxic, boosters/ account buyers infested, maphackers dominated environment. As a software developer myself I am really impressed by @jeffhill . How on earth could a ranked system be so terrible (before and after 7.33)? Your style of handling problem is neat, I am sure you can easily handle all of your life problems because they are not yours! I foresee your life will be as prosperous as clear water. Thanks for being "so helpful" sir.

With all due respect , good sir , if you are stuck in "that rank" for "10 years" , there is no one to blame but "yourself". And try to enjoy the game , MMR is just a number!

Indeed MMR is just a number but it can be a useful number what I have now is a useless number. I can defeat Legend players with very little effort, meanwhile I get all the feeders on my team every game just like others who suffer at solo queue. It is all about game quality, if games are so toxic how do people find friends to get out of solo queue? If MMR is useless why having it in the first place? Can't we just mix everyone together which will certainly make queueing time much much less instead of 30 min?

So what is the problem? People hacking your mmr? You winning but not gaining mmr? Cheaters only on enemy team because Valve flagged your account to only face cheaters?

I can not see any BUG here. As this is is a "BUG Tracker" you better go into the community hub to chat with others and maybe find out what the real problem is.

it is a very big BUG, a 10-years-old bug until recently Valve admitted at 7.33 patch note that "players clump in between 0 - 1000 mmr" and they switched to Gliko which is just as bad as the old one only I am now a Crusader instead of Herald. I guess players now clump in between 1000- 2000. I really don't understand why you think this isn't a bug, you really shocked me. Are you a booster trying defend your "business" in this toxic environment especially in SEA and AU?

One story tells us you've not ranked up (or down) in 10 years. Another tells us you've recently ranked up.

I wish you can read my post carefully. I was stuck in herald now I am stuck in Crusader, both are stuck. I am proud that I never bought any account unlike most of you ruining other people's games. This culture of boosting or buying account has to change even lots of friends I know use bought account, it is utterly wrong and punishable.

You can't have been stuck - if your rank has changed. That's not what stuck means.

Um... Did you get recalibration at 7.33? Maybe you don't play Dota at all

I was a Crusader II, but I got a time out of Dota and got Herald II in recalibration, I never got Crusader II again. If I win 2 or 3 games, the coordinator put players in my team that pick antimage sup5, terrorblade sup5, etc, it can't be right. That time, my gameplay surely was worst that now. Today after 3 years I'm guardian IV and put a target to myself: if at the end of year (2023) my medal stays below Archon I, I will abandon DotA 2 forever and waste my time playing AAA games instead.

Don't be dismayed by this system, it doesn't make any sense.
