you're not guaranteed to get rares etc. just increasing chance

Whether a treasure has increasing odds or doesn't receive duplicates is hidden in the Information Icon (I in a circle). This should probably be displayed upfront, not behind a tooltip.

might be better to ask friends to buy from you so you get increasing chance for rares
